We aim to be a lively, relevant, loving church, that is valuable to God and to our neighbours

Welcome to the Parish of Shere

The Current Situation

Following the closure of all churches there will be no services at St James or St Marks for the foreseeable future. Sadly, this will include Holy Week and Easter. The Clergy are continuing to pray together regularly (via Zoom) and with the PCC are developing ways that the church (which is really the people not the buildings) can continue to support our community.

We are developing new patterns of worship including online services and co-ordinated prayer times. Details of how to watch and take part are on our current services page.

Communication will be key so please do check this website and the church Facebook page (www.facebook.com/shereparish/) regularly. We will also issue regular email updates and home resources so if you are not currently on our email list but would like to be please email rector@parishofshere.com. Details of resources for families and children should be available soon along with information about our Holy Week and Easter worship.

Despite the current difficulties we are still striving to be a mature, missional and inclusive multi-generational Christian community which is here for everyone whatever your outlook or experience, age or stage in life.

If you would like to speak to someone or have any queries please visit our contact page or email admin@parishofshere.com.
