We aim to be a lively, relevant, loving church, that is valuable to God and to our neighbours

Welcome to the Parish of Shere

The Current Situation

As we go into the Autumn the life of our church continues to look different. Here is an update of what is happening currently:
Every Sunday at 9am there is a service of Holy Communion (BCP) alternating each week between St Mark’s, Peaslake and St James’, Shere. Current Covid-19 guidance is followed including social distancing, hand sanitisation and mask wearing.

At 10am every Sunday there is an online service on our YouTube Channel Parish of Shere.
The churches are open for prayer:

Both St James' and St Mark's churches are open daily for prayer from 9am til 4pm.

Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals are taking place again following current Covid-19 guidance and limitations. Contact rector@parishofshere.com for further details.
Each week a Shere Spirituality Mailing is emailed out to all who wish to be kept up to date with links to online services and childrens’ resources. Contact rector@parishofshere.com if you would like to receive this.

Despite the current difficulties we are still striving to be a mature, missional and inclusive multi-generational Christian community which is here for everyone whatever your outlook or experience, age or stage in life.

If you would like to speak to someone or have any queries please visit our contact page or email admin@parishofshere.com.

This parish is part of the United Benefice of Shere, Albury and Chilworth.
